Ms Thiru Naidoo- Currently the Senior Export Promotion Manager at Wesgro for Asia and the Middle EAST. I have over 10 years, experience at Wesgro. Previously worked as the Business Development Manager-Global with the Business Tourism Unit at Wesgro. In this unit I assisted in securing international business events into the Western Cape, South Africa. In addition, I was awarded the Top 40 women in MICE Award-2018 (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). I also sat on the committee of the South African Association for the conference industry-Western Cape Committee (SAACI). I held the position of Treasurer
Prior to Wesgro I worked at Cape Tourism as the Business and Events Manager. I was involved in the support and coordination of Signature events for Cape Town, South Africa. In 2006, I authored the book “Science of Tourism”, which was published and sold through Juta Publishers. My book was chosen as a textbook for circulation to N4-N6 Tourism Technical College students.
During my employment as Tourism Lecturer at the Cape College from 1992 to 2002. I was given the prestigious Award of Excellence for going beyond the parameters of my duty.

Vino Pillay is the National Ambassador and Executive Director of World Speech Day South Africa, as well as the Global Lead for World Speech Day Women, a member of the WSD Global Advisory Board, Ambassador for Junior Chamber International (Tshwane), owner of Digital Marketing Edge SA (Google Partner) and President of the International Women's Federation of Commerce and Industry SA Chapter.

She has a Master's in Geography with a specialty in Destination Marketing and Local Economic Development (2000) and a Postgraduate Program in Marketing Management (2006) and is a Distinguished Toastmaster (2017).
